Bluetooth goes offline

I have return to my computer and notice that my bluetooth mouse is no longer responsive, when I go to bluetoothsetting, it is no longer connected and cannot connect. I can't even reconnect unless I restart the computer. I have the latest drivers, which are provided by Microsoft. Has anyone encountered this issue? Computer is a Acer Aspire 14 AI. The mouse is a Microsoft Sea Ocean Plastic mouse.

I had similar issue with xbox controller and Dell Keyboard. when it switched off it wouldnt reconect unless i unpaired it and paired it again. Then just updated FW on Xbox Controller and Keyboard and had no issue since. See if mouse can have firmware updated. I would also try different BT device to see if problem is the same. Or uninstall drivers and try to install ones from Acers website.

This problem is caused by a recent update that will be followed by a silent out-of-band patch shortly. It's not limited to any specific brands of BT mice that I'm aware of. Wait a few days and the mouse will work again when you try to connect it.

Had no idea there was this issue with recent update:unsure:. But I in insider beta so maybe never happend to me.... Anyway nice to see someone else using X-lite ;-) (y)

My neighbor is a little old lady who's scared to try X-Lite. I encountered this exact same issue with her computer on Friday, but with a Logitech mouse, now solved. Being cursed with the ability to read faster than most people, there are several other forums I like to peruse, leading to the discovery of numerous similar complaints scattered over the web..

Does this happen often with bluetooth and updates? I recall similar issues in the past and I end up replacing it with logitech dongles and usb headsets.

I remember seeing a post from a headset person indicating that he did not like bluetooth headset because a window update may render it inoperable. Maybe what he said is true.

I'm practicing the art of understatement, to say the least...some people get ...sensitive.... about criticism of MS.
