Changed permisssions and now it prevents my windows 10 to bootup (i have a black screen)


After shutting down while booting 3 times it does not prompt recovery environment?

It does but i dont have acess to safe mode (i recieve an error with logonui.exe )and sadly restore point are not here.

ok. if you cannot launch explorer process manually, the next step is to do what @Kin_G just mentioned. power it off completely. turn it on. once you see the POST screen (win flag logo, asus logo, dell logo... whatever yours shows) immediately hold the power button to force power it off. doing this 3 times in a row should trigger "Launching Automatic Repairs" on the 4th boot. Get to there and post back.

also.. if you are able to post these replies, i assume you have an alternate computer available. you stated that they bought you a usb drive as well. you can download a windows 11 iso and rufus and create a windows to go usb hdd to boot into to run dism repairs, if that is not beyond your scope.

do not go into safe mode. get to the screen with automatic repairs and post back.

Tried this it says windows cant repair it . There is onviously a problem with permissions, not a corruption of my system files

i didn't say automatic repair was going to fix it. i was going to get you the command prompt to run dism online image repair.

Oh ok , but what i know is that the issue comes from permissions that have been modified . Dism can repair this?

find you proper drive letter for your Windows and USB drive
in the commands below replace (K:) (5x) and (L:)(1x) with your correct drive letter
mkdir K:\scratch
sfc /scannow /offbootdir=K:\ /offwindir=K:\Windows /offlogfile=K:\sfc.txt
Dism /image:K:\ /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:L:\sources\install.wim /ScratchDir:K:\scratch

If you configure your winre.wim with full WiFi-Support you don't need the scource install.wim
