Solved Streaming apps from Microsoft store always have a black screen with sound

Prime video, Hulu, Netflix. I can stream through Firefox fine for some reason. Tried repair, reset, reinstall on all of them, reset router. Windows version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3593).

What kind of monitor, or video cabling do you have? Sounds like you're trying to stream DRM-protected content (at a higher quality), and Windows won't allow it for this display. Browser streaming quality is usually capped to a lower bitrate.

I'm using a laptop. These apps worked fine on Win10.

I always use Roku on my 4K TV.

Streaming apps take up too much space in my Start menu.
