Are you talking about just right clicking on the desktop? If so the trash can won't show unless you select a file or folder.
The option are on the top. The paste only shows if you have selected a file or folder.
No, I just right click on what I want to delete, then press the "delete key" on my keyboard.
Since the trash can was already on my desktop, it just stayed.

I just put several things on my desktop, Arazel, then right clicked on the desktop and Delete isn't there. I have to select Show More Options before I can select Delete, which is in the grouping second to bottom.
It moves around based on the location of the file/folder.
1. The only way I see to edit would be to open an app and copy your file to it. So far, from what I can see is that Windows Terminal is maybe kinda like Power Shell. I tried it on something, though, and it didn't exactly work.

My trash can is always showing. That may be because I started out from Windows 10 in the DEV Channel and when WU offered an update, I was updated to Windows 11.
By trash can on the desktop I assume that you're talking about the Recycle Bin? As for when you right click on a file or folder the trash can icon on the top is the icon for delete. I apologize if I'm misunderstanding you.
I disabled those two, I now have to right click twice, instead of three times. At least that's an improvement :).
Oh!!!! Now I see it! I was looking for it on the desktop, not the context menu! Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
