Dvd Player error 0xc00d4e84

I purchased Dvd Player for Windows 10 so that I could use my DVD player & I am getting an error code of 0xc00d4e84.
Can someone tell me what my problem is?

Do ypu have the corresponding driver installed ?

But there could also be a physical problem (connection or the player itself).

Could it be the app that is no longer compatible, since it works fine with other DVD apps?

Maybe you have to configure the DVD player to use your speakers at first time. Little weird because most apps are configured to "Windows default" if no specific device is set. This means the audio will play on whatever is the current default output. It is Realtek speakers, if you have connected stereo speakers to your computer or Bluetooth something if you have connected Bluetooth speakers.

Sorry, but there's no audio output configuration to perform on the app.
What's strange is that other DVD player apps work normally.

What happens when you play the DVD with that player? It plays without sound? Open a DVD in the player and then click the little speaker icon on the Taskbar near the clock. If you see some other device such as Realtek digital, change it to the speakers, such as Realtek Speakers. Stop playback and start again to see if you hear the sound. Also right-click on the speaker icon and select the sound mixer. Check if the DVD application is muted or the volume is too low. From there you can also visually confirm that the speakers are active and playing sound. Also the DVD player might be configured for 5.1 speakers and if the rear speakers and the central are not downmixed to stereo by Windows you hear no sound. Make sure it is configured to stereo speakers.

PS: Which app is that? Maybe it needs appropriate codecs to play Dolby Digital (aka AC3) sound. In that case install K-Lite codec pack. This also includes MPC-HC which can play everything including Video-CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs.

You are missing the MPEG-2 Codec.
You can add that, or use an alternative Player like VLC Player.

When I insert the DVD, it gives me the error from the first post: the DVD won't even start!
And the error "Unsupported video type or invalid file path."

You have no video and audio codecs to play the DVD. Either install K-Lite codec pack or use VLC that doesn't need codecs. I prefer K-Lite codec pack and use the included MPC-HC player. These codecs can be used in any other application to play or edit the video and audio formats supported. That's why I don't like VLC that is autonomous without any codecs available for other applications.
