Hi,
I've played alot with the font/text crispness settings over the years...
I'm now using a 4K monitor and not sure I'm liking the crispness of the fonts.

How would I go about resetting any changes I had made to how text is displayed to see what Win 11 can deliver in default settings? (maybe it will be better than all my tweaks)...

There is a link in the fonts folder to adjust clear type text I believe, you could start there, also a lot of TVs and monitors have their own settings often called sharpness, I find turning that down to a step or two above minimum can help to stop 'fuzzing' font and button edges.

I don't have a 4k monitor but it is a larger one. I had a lot of pixelation when I went to 11 so I kept tweaking until I saw a difference. For me it became a matter of trial and error until I found something I could live with.

1. search 'advanced system settings'- In results click advanced system settings control panel- under 'Performance' click settings- change it to "adjust for best appearance'
2. adjust clear type settings
3. adjust scale
4. adjust refresh rate
5. adjusted brightness/sharpness/contrast in the settings of the monitor itself

I might point out, I did not have this issue when using a dark theme, only when using light theme was the pixelation noticeable.
If you haven't already you might want to try a different cable.

Yeah - maybe it's a matter of needing to experiment even more with cleartype... i just wish it was Mac-like crispness for text on 4K, right out of the box! I am using light theme.
