That appears to be a Lenovo app. It can be safely uninstalled if you want. If it does not appear in control panel, programs & features, then it is a windows store issued app.

Classic typical proprietary bloatware that is an unnecessary burden on system resources, frequently duplicating tasks already performed by Windows.

Use RevoUninstaller (freeware)to uninstall. Don't reboot if prompted and run the Advanced cleaning option to remove leftover files/folders/registry entries.

Probably just some of the many other bloatware still installed, so much so that many users prefer to wipe a new computer and do a clean install of Windows.

As one who actually owns a Lenovo PC, please do further research "before" uninstalling something because someone calls it bloatware. What's "bloatware" to them, may actually be extremely helpful to you ;-)
  • Lenovo Vantage is NOT bloatware. It Lenovo's app for downloading and installing the latest drivers and BIOS updates for the PC. It saves you the hassle of trying to figure out what drivers and BIOS you need for your laptop.
  • Lenovo Settings did some of the stuff the new Lenovo Vantage does and is incorporated into Vantage. If you want to remove that, make sure you have the latest Vantage app before doing so.
Everyone has "their" opinion of what "they" consider bloatware, but only "you'll" know if the program is right for your by reading up on it yourself. In the end if you still see it as useless, at least you're making an informed decision... not a blind one.

Good luck :)

Dru2 is correct. Find out what that Control panel item can do for you before considering whether or not to remove it.
