I built a budget desktop for a friend, used a Gigabyte Z390 "Gamer X" motherboard and an i3 9100 (NOT 9100F). It has UHD630 graphics.
It has all the current drivers including (direct from Intel) the latest CPU video driver for Win 10 and Win11 (noted by Intel).

I downloaded and ran "Whynotwin11" and it flags the "Direct X + WDDM2 as a compatibility problem.
Is this correct or a glitch in the whynotwin11 program. Its supposed to be DirectX 12. I looked at the Intel site but came away confused.

Try running dxdiag. On its second page, it'll explicitly tell you the DirectX support level, and the WDDM version.

I doubt that the I3-9100 would be on the supported CPU list (it is) but that its integrated graphics would be unsupported.

Also, what drivers did you get? These are supposed to support Windows 10 and Windows 11: Intel® Graphics – Windows® 10 & Windows 11* DCH Drivers

I don't have the PC, the user I built it for has it.

The "Windows 10 and Windows 11" graphics drivers are the one I installed, yesterday before I turned the PC over to the user.

Good. I still suggest that you have him/her/it run dxdiag.

I'll check tomorrow. I have to install the drivers and set up his printer.

I forgot about DXDiag. Used to use that quite a bit, but been a while since I had a need for it.
I'll post what I find.

DXDiag reports Direct X 12 and WDDM 2.6. The only difference between the i3 9100 system and my own desktop is WDDM 2.7.

That appears to prove that the compatibility check software gave a false result on the graphics/drivers.
