If you want to remove the LCU

To remove the LCU after installing the combined SSU and LCU package, use the DISM/Remove-Package command line option with the LCU package name as the argument. You can find the package name by using this command: DISM /online /get-packages.

Running Windows Update Standalone Installer (wusa.exe) with the /uninstall switch on the combined package will not work because the combined package contains the SSU. You cannot remove the SSU from the system after installation.

I clean installed 26100.994 to a second drive. I then made that clean install my C drive on the primary drive and moved 23H2 to the
second drive. It's nice to have a fresh clean install.

An hour? Both PC here finished in about 10-15 minutes (possibly less, I haven't timed it). It certainly wasn't an hour

I guess you were lucky. The time changes depending on how many things need to be fixed. I had the issue on different machines and different builds.
On one machine it was never ending. I decided to restore an older build and update it with an ISO, to get rid of the problem. 🤷‍♂️🤐

Or reset. But you have to reinstall 3rd party apps. You did the best way.:-)

What's the next best thing to a clean install? Something that cleans up the existing installation most effectively? I'm guessing it's the Repair/Update via iso?

Tried to run DISM /Online /cleanup-image /restorehealth command on two computers with this build. Both of them stop at 62.3% -- rebooted and same thing happens. Anyone else have this issue on this build?
