Known and Resolved issues for Windows 11 version 22H2

Current status as of May 24, 2023

Windows 11, version 22H2 is broadly available to all users with eligible devices who check for updates. Microsoft is delivering continuous innovation to Windows 11 more frequently. If you’re using Home or Pro consumer devices or non-managed business devices running Windows 11, version 22H2, you can get some of these newest experiences as soon as they’re ready for your device. To do so, open Settings > Windows Update. Select Get the latest updates as soon as they are available, and set the toggle to On. Note that the toggle won't be enabled for managed devices. These are managed by Windows Update for Business or Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

In January 2023, Home and Pro consumer and non-managed business devices running Windows 11, version 21H2 started to automatically update to version 22H2. Since Windows 10, we’ve been helping Windows users stay up to date and secure with supported versions of Windows through automatic updates. We’re using the same approach for Windows 11 to help you stay protected and productive. And remember: you can choose a convenient time for your device to restart and complete the update.

Saving or copying files might intermittently fail
You might receive an error or files might intermittently fail to save or copy, especially to network shares.
I have seen this issue for myself in 22621.1702, trying to copy a 5.1GB W11 ISO to a network share. At about 4GB copied it give an 'access denied' error. Intermittently? It is 100% repeatable for me :(

It fails however you try the copy, with File Manager or the command prompt.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022.

Are the issues for Windows 11 version 22H2 reported by MSFT or by users?


on my Windows 11 use, two issues annoying
1. Explore sometime cannot launch. or takes forever to Open. This problem was confirmed on my Asus ZenBook, Windows 11 Home 22H2, as well as on HP 800 G3 Windows 11 Pro 22H2. repair install is only valid fix. Other trials failed.
I did google, could read many this problem reports. but no solution.

2. python app. its pyautogui is working improperly on Windows 11. its mouse/cursor move was trapped in IDLE. I run the same code on both Windows 7 and 11. Windows 7 no this issue. not sure to report this to Google/python or to MSFT.

Starting May 23, 2023, some Arm-based devices might be unable to use the integrated webcam due to a driver issue.
