Guys... DL My ISO in signature

I no longer use Rufus but now WINTOUSB. I DL'ed from UPPDUMP CN and used IMGBURN after creating the USB with WINTOUSB bypass feature

Better still, wait for Brink to provide a link for the small Enablement Package that will turn on the 23H2 features. They're already downloaded in the latest CU, but dormant until enabled.

According to Microsoft BS installing Windows 11 on unsupported computer is worse than stepping on a mine. Yes, BS, so we just ignore it, bypass compatibility check and proceed.

Success on 25977 with iso as inplace upgrade, even kept my apps this time.

Had to use [ setupprep.exe /product server ] from the sources folder instead of "setup" but it skipped the check & worked.

@PatrykP, good job! How is 11 running for you on that system? Everything running smoothly? I have a laptop running the exact same CPU that you have and also the same amount of RAM. Windows 11 runs great on it.

Are both setup.exe /product server and a dummy appraiserres.dll methods working on unsupported hardware?

Supposedly new Insider builds have broken the ability for the /product server switch to work so I would not count on this working in the future.

@hsehestedt I used the Windows 10 installer to bypass the CPU requirements. The drivers were installed, and everything is working fine.

I used the Windows 11 23H2 Iso, released on 31-10-2023 by Microsoft, to install on a desktop that doesn't meet all the requirements (non-compatible processor), replaced the appraiserres.dll file and the installation was completed successfully. In my case, I installed it using an in-place repair. It's supposed to work with clean installation too.

I've tried installing to my non-supported machine using the ISO and the MCT and now I am at:

Don't know what is going on here.

The MCT hasn't been updated yet, it still makes an ISO for 22H2. If you dowload the ISO directly that one is 23H2.

The same thing happened with Windows 10 21H2 and 22H2, it took several days before the MCT was updated to build the new ISO.

When the MCT runs it first dowloads a products.xml file that tells it what to build. Run the MCT until you see the licence terms, then open the "C:\$Windows.~WS\Sources\products.xml" file. You can see the build it's going to make in there. Currently it says 22621.1702.

That's odd. The ISO I downloaded clearly states that it should be 23H2, mine is named Win11_23H2_EnglishInternational_x64.iso, though I've not yet tried an install.

Hello! Check this thread: Windows 11 23H2 upgrade likely possible on unsupported PC
I will try that method (update to build 22621.2508 and then install enablement package) on my main PC (2nd system specs) and post results. I will download the 23H2 ISO from Microsoft's site and try the "traditional" method of replacing the appraiserres.dll file on my test laptop (2nd system specs) and also post results. I hope both will work fine.
