24H2 is not for Windows standard public release, it’s for insiders only?
If you are not using an insiders build and you’re trying to install 24H2, to my understanding you are asking for trouble.

I know… I was just reiterating.
So, about 24H2, you said you spent an hour trying to install it (not sure why) have you restored a backup since, of pre 24H2 attempt?

I was trying to help someone else in this forum that loaded 24H2 (he had no insiders channel) and he wondered why his computer was doing things it shouldn’t or not doing things it should.

It restored to the previous 23H2 by itself after it failed. Probably closer to 25 mins I exaggerated :)

The 24H2 hung 2x during a reboot. I optd out of the insider program to prevent further attempts.

Hello, I have used the guide in which I turn off the snipping tool through the accessibility menu, then I restarted lightshot, and now it works using Prtsc. I am on 22H2

All this grousing about early using of 24H2 bothers me a bit. It's fine here, and my machine is subjected to a lot of requests, and responds perfectly. Can't say I see any diff between 24H2 and 23H2 yet, though, so I don't recommend the rush to update forthose who are worried. You never know what will turn up.

My production machine is up to date, and my Insider machine is paused! 🤷‍♂️

What worries me is that people who aren’t on insiders previews are trying to load 24H2 onto their release versions of Windows.
Like… seriously, why? And look out for problems.
