Has anyone got this working on 11? It works fine on 10 where the prt scrn key is disable (be default)
If I disable it on 11, pressing the key does not activate lightshot

It works if you reassign the "prt scrn" key (default) to another key like "Pause/Break" in lightshot / Options
It might be because the PRT SCR key is for the snipping tool.

I also have Screenpresso and Cropper capture that "could" use the print key but,
snipping tool seems to overide both of them. I have to say though, snipping tool
is pretty cool.

Lightshot is much better. I can capture and share from their imagesharing site in a couple clicks

I use ShareX but for OCR it's pretty hard to beat the snipping tool.

Doesn’t this work to disable Print Screen for Snipping Tool?

Has anyone got this working on 11? It works fine on 10 where the prt scrn key is disable (be default)
If I disable it on 11, pressing the key does not activate lightshot
Works normal here.

Win11 ? rev? Works with the prtscrn key? Does it bring up the snipping window or the lightshot window?

Must be the 24H2 update. I'll confirm when I get it. You need to be an insider to do so?

Thanks

I don't think it's that, I think it's a permissions thing...,
for instance, if you ran the Lightshot installer as Admin, it may hand over the key binding, maybe not but, I had a similar issue with Screenpresso...,
I run ShareX, never had a problem since. YMMV though!

Not sure I understand how disabling Snipping tool for the print screen key doesn’t work. Are you saying the setting isn’t there for you?

Yes it is there. If I disable it, nothing appears to happen when I press that key. It's probably copying the entire screen to the clipboard. I do not have time to mess with it anymore. Lightshot is working fine with the reassigned key. The whole reason for this was to eliminate all the steps to prtscrn, save to a file, save that file to imgur etc and get the link to send to someone.

I spent an hour trying to install 24H2 which failed so I'm back to 23H2

One would assume with the snipping toggle set to off, and Lightshot setting set to use the Print Screen key, it would just work. But of course, nothing is ever easy.
