Solved Logitech Brio Stream Webcam

First thing to do is plug camera into an available USB port. The Logitech Brio camera drivers are only available from Windows Update. You can check Device Manager > Cameras to see if device driver is already installed for your device. You can manually check for updates by selecting Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for Updates. If there are no updates, you can select Advanced Options > Optional Updates, then Restart the computer after any Update is applied.

Windows Hello
If you are receiving "we couldn't find a camera compatible with windows hello face" error message, then you can try 1) Installing the Windows Hello Biometric files; 2) Resetting Windows Hello Biometric Database; or 3) Install Windows Hello Face Optional Feature. To perform each of these, follow the procedures in:

Microsoft Teams
Check Teams app is updated by going to your profile picture in the Teams app and select Check for updates.
Check your device app permissions by opening Settings, under Privicy, select Camera and check Camera access is On, then reboot the computer.
Check you can make a Test Call by selecting Settings and more (three dots Teams more icon), then choose Settings > Devices, and under Audio devices, select Make a Test Call . After that follow the instructions to make your Test Call.

Hi,

Just purchased this camera from https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0748NCPN5/ but how do I setup the camera so it works with Windows Hello and Microsoft Teams, If I got Accounts > Login Options it says Facial Recognition (Windows Hello) > See Screenshot Below.

View attachment 18685

PS - Do I need to install any software?
I have never had to install any software with Logitech webcams.

I have the Logitech C920 and all I did was plug it in. It just works.

A fellow Insider had the same webcam (before I got mine) and he installed the software. Never could get it to work.

So, the first thing to do is to plug it in. It should work with anything it's supposed to work with. I use mine with Skype.

Agreed. I never had to install anything for my Logitech BRIO 4K Pro webcam in Windows 10 or Windows 11 for it to work with Windows Hello. Just plug and play.

I keep its firmware updated, but it wasn't required to work.

Use BRIO webcam with Windows Hello
You can use your BRIO webcam with Windows Hello. When you connect BRIO to any USB port on a computer running Windows 10 that has internet access, Microsoft Windows Update will install the necessary driver and service.

Note: The driver and service can only be obtained from Windows Update and cannot be downloaded as a separate file.

Once the update is complete, go to Windows Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and select BRIO for Windows Hello.

So does mine and every other webcam I have ever seen installed.

What puzzled me was the wording from Logitech, regarding their Brio product - why did they inform the user to use Windows Update, and not state the simple obvious?

There are a few types of Brio webcam and this is causing confusion as the Pro seem to work great and the Streams have trouble with Hello until updated.

You need a firmware update for your camera. I have the Logitech Brio and it shows Firmware version 2.0.50. I think I used the Logitech G-Hub software to detect, download and install the firmware. After it updates the firmware you'll have no need for G-Hub, just set it so it doesn't auto-start with windows, that way it will be available for future updates.

** Edit **

There is a Logitech Camera Settings App that MIGHT update the firmware, it will show you the version, but I cant recall if it will version check and update it if required.

This is the camera I purchased from Amazon -

Logitech Brio 4K Webcam, Ultra 4K HD Video Calling, Noise-Canceling mic, HD Auto Light Correction, Wide Field of View, Works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Voice, PC/Mac/Laptop/Macbook/Tablet

*** Really, Last Edit ***
I forgot to mention that both of those apps are available directly from Logitech.
Use this link for the Brio 4K Stream Firmware Update

I'm sending the Streaming one back as I'm having no luck with Windows Hello, got the Pro one as you guys say it works for you. I'm getting the same with my #1 post on the image. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N5NYRES/

I'm on Windows 11, wonder if a fresh install would sort it out, or if I'm missing somethingh on my PC, or something is blocking the webcam from working with Windows Hello?

I try updating te Fireware from here : Firmware Update Tool and I'm greated with this message...

Untitled-1.jpg

UPDATE - Updated the Fireware from this link https://prosupport.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360039591834-Downloads-BRIO it was using version 0.1 and now its showing 2.7.
