Logitech BRIO Webcam

I was going to buy a brio for windows hello, maybe I should leave it?
Windows Hello works fine for me. I tested it for a few days.
I decided not to continue using it as I find it a bit annoying.
It can unlock when I don't want it to just by going near my desk.

I have two Logitech BRIO webcams. One runs on a Windows 11 PC and one on a Windows 10 PC.
Most of the time, they work good.

But every now and then, they fail to work on both PCs and there is a yellow exclamation mark in the Device Manager with a "Set Address Failed" error. All it takes to rectify the problem is to unplug the USB cable and plug it back in, but I would rather that it didn't happen at all.

I am using the latest driver that I can find. It is version 1.0.85.0 dated August 28, 2017.
I'm a bit surprised that the latest driver for their current webcam is that old, but that is all I can find.

Does anyone else have a Logitech BRIO webcam? If so, have you had this problem with it?
I got this error when I updated my BIOS to the latest version, seems fine at the moment.

Just unplug it and plug it back in. I am sure you've already done that.
I really think it's a driver issue. The driver is old and hasn't been updated.

cant edit my previous post for some reason (time limit?)
anyhow, turned out i removed the optional feature for windows hello face when i did my initial install purge and forgot about it. re-adding that was the fix (mostly).

after adding it I had to unplug and re plug the camera into the usb port then i was in business. Now I just have to find a non janky way to elevate it a bit since the stand covers my screen due to the bezel only being about 3/16" thick.

anybody know which of the veritable slew of Logitech softwares is best for the webcam?
I dont want bloat so things like the Ghub or whatever it is sounds terrible. Akin to asus armory etc. That leaves Logitech camera settings, Logi Tune, Logitech Capture. What are you guys using/do you suggest?

I didn't install any software for my Logitech BRIO 4K Pro webcam. I just used the driver Windows installed for it, and it was ready for Windows Hello facial recognition without issue.

Oh yea, it’s working for windows hello now which is 99% what I bought it for. The fingerprint scanner would constantly fail after awhile and it got annoying re setting it up. This is that much more convenient.

I’m just trying to cover the other 1%. Like how do I change the resolution or the frame rate it’s recording at etc?

Or is that something that is agnostic and would/could be done by whatever software I’m actually using to record at the time so long as it’s supported by the hardware/driver?

I never owned a webcam, I’m new to these things :p

You can open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras to select Logitech BRIO and adjust any available settings there.

If you just want the basics from Logitech, check the "Logi Tune" app to adjust the webcam's settings. Nowhere near the bloat of G-Hub.
