I cannot verify it right now, but you have to check the
setup*.exe files inside folder
sources with Resource Hacker. Copy them to another folder, don't try to modify them directly. If you find the Windows logo, write down its dimensions. Your custom image must have the same format (usually
.png) and the same dimensions. Replace the image using Resource hacker and then rename the original file (for backup) and replace it with the modified file. Check all images, the logo should be there in 2 or 3 different sizes, replace them all. However this screen appears only when choosing legacy Setup (or running the respective executable from
sources folder). The new Setup is different.
After installation, if you want to modify the Windows logo in the
winver window and the traditional System Properties window, modify these two files with Resource Hacker:
C:\Windows\Branding\Basebrd\basebrd.dll
C:\Windows\Branding\shellbrd\shellbrd.dll
Again copy them to another folder first. Don't try to modify them directly. Then you need to take ownership of the folders and the files and grant Administrators group full access before you can replace them.
If you just want to add an OEM logo in the traditional System Properties screen use Winaero Tweaker instead.
The ultimate all-in-one tweaker for Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7.

To see the traditional System Properties window create a new folder and copy-paste exactly this code as the folder name:
System.{BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE}
or just use the attached shortcut. Every time you double click that folder (or shortcut) you will see this:
It's a custom-built PC (see my 2nd system specs), so I used Winaero Tweaker to add an OEM logo and other OEM data. The colorful fancy cut/copy/paste etc butons are the Classic Explorer Bar from Open Shell utility. It doesn't work by default on latest builds and you need a Registry fix. Read respective threads.
