I have a Dell XPS 15 9520 laptop that has an Intel iris xe graphics card and Nvidia 3050. It has windows 11 pro.

i7-12700h processor and 32gb ram. I use 2 external monitors with it, 32' 4k Samsung monitor and a 1920x1200 24' Asus monitor.

Many times when I would do a windows update and this could include a Dell firmware update, I would do this update only when I disconnect my monitors from it. Then I power off my laptop after the update. Then I connect my 2 monitors to the laptop and turn it on. Several times when this happens, my main 32' 4k samsung monitor would show Display port and not work but my asus monitor would work. I would then download the driver from the Intel site many times and I believe it was called intel arc control something. I recalled I downloaded the Intel arc driver for my XPS laptop. After I download that driver update, I power off my laptop. Then connect my monitors back to it. Then when I power on laptop, both monitors would turn on. I did this many times whenever I had a windows update and my main monitor did not turn back on.

I didn't do a windows update but just had powered off my laptop. When I turned my laptop on, my main 32' 4k monitor had the Displayport message showing. I then did a windows update that included the Dell bios update. I did the windows and Dell bios update with no monitors connected. Then I turned laptop on and the main 32' 4k monitor shows Displayport. Is this the same exact issue?

The thing is I do not recall the exact link I used to download the graphics driver update that would make my main 32' 4k monitor work again. I recall it was called intel arc something.

I typed in my start menu and Intel and it shows a program called Intel Arc Control Driver 32.0.101.7077 and this was released in September 2025.

Can anyone here confirm it's this link? I believe this is what I downloaded many times a while back when my main 32' 4k monitor didn't turn on except show Displayport on it. The thing is when I check the previous versions of it, it doesn't go as far back as 32.0.101.7077. Otherwise if it showed it, then I know this is the exact graphics driver I would download again to fix this monitor issue everytime.

It's not the link below right even though I have an i7-12700h processor? I never downloaded the graphics driver below to fix my monitor issue before as I recalled it was named Intel Arc something.

So download the Intel arc driver from the 1st link and that should resolve the monitor issue right? I done this many times previously but I do not remember the exact link I used from previous times. I do believe it's the 1st link as it's Intel arc but want to make sure. Can someone here confirm this is the link for the Intel arc control?

So this is the link that I used previously I believe each time when I downloaded the newest graphic cards driver update that would resolve the monitor issue.

However, when I go to this site now, it doesn't show the driver? It seems to go to the main page and then ask for me to search for it.

Can someone tell me which link it is to download the updated graphics driver here?

Is there a reason why you can't use the Dell drivers? The Intel driver and Graphics Software App are dated Nov. 2025 (not that old).
Support for XPS 15 9520 | Drivers & Downloads | Dell US
Am I suppose to download it from that site? The only updates I do is when there is a Windows update. When I do this, it shows the updates like Windows updates and dell firmware update and then I do it.

The thing is many times when this happens, my main external monitor doesn't work and shows displayport on it while the other monitor works. So I would then download the driver update from the last link I posted and each time I do this, then start laptop again, the monitor would be normal. The issue here is the last link that I posted, when I click on that link now, it doesn't direct me to the specific graphics driver. So I want to know what is the correct link for this.

My main monitor has the same issue from a while back. But I'm not sure the exact link I'm suppose to use because the old link that I always used now doesn't go directly to the correct graphics driver update.

I want to know what is the correct link to this website below. This is the website link I went to many times and when I downloaded the latest driver, then my monitor would then work. The issue is now the link doesn't go directly to the driver update that I need to download.

Your PC is still supported by Dell. While Intel might be possibly ahead in driver versions, Dell validated a known Intel version as compatible. Whereas the Intel package is targeted to multiple PC's sharing the same chipset, Dell actually confirmed the version on the driver page worked on your PC.

But it's obvious you didn't bother looking at the Dell page since it tells what version of the driver and Intel app, and their release dates.

I don't think I ever downloaded any driver from the dell website. I only do the windows update on my laptop and did the driver update from that website link I posted. That website link that I posted no longer appears anymore. That is what I downloaded each time my main monitor didn't work.

So I want to know what is the link to download the updated driver for this. The thing is it seems I could download the update from the Intel Arc control program itself and do it that way? Would that work or not?

I want to know what is the correct link to do the update for the driver that would resolve the monitor issue.

On Dell site, this is the current driver version below right? If so, that is the one I currently am using I believe as it shows this on Intel Arc control?

You need these I also sent you a personal message

Ok. I messaged you back. Can others confirm it's this link?

I'm confused why the old link I use no longer seems to work anymore? But when you highlight the link, it say Intel Arc Iris Xe graphics and that was the link I always used back then to download latest driver when my main monitor didn't work. When you check the link now, it doesn't show the download page for it anymore?

Late last year Intel seemed to change and separate the drivers to different download versions
Now all the ones I use on different Notebooks and Intel/Asus NUC's are these you just have to see what works as when you start the install it will either let you install it or say NO this is not suitable for your chipset.

I downloaded the 11th-14th generation one and restarted laptop.

My main monitor still shows displayport with a black screen.

Do you know what could be the reason for this?

If you look on Reddit, a number of users have reported the same problem. For some, the solution is to open the Intel graphics app and click on " ... " menu option. Check if all of your connected displays are enabled.

Can you tell me which reddit thread this is at?

You say open the Intel's graphics app. So this is the Intel Graphics Software I just downloaded right?

Where is the "..." menu option? It shows

Home, Profiles, Graphics, Display, Performance and Video.

My laptop doesn't even recognize or detect the main 32' 4k Samsung monitor.

If I were to check my display settings from windows, it only shows my other 24' 1920x1200 Asus monitor. The 32' 4k Samsung monitor doesn't seem to be detected.

When the 32' 4k Samsung monitor is turned on, it shows displayport and black screen.

Have you tried switching to a different DisplayPort cable, or using a non-DisplayPort cable to eliminate the cable as the problem? Use the cable that works the Asus monitor.

Did you check the actual Intel graphics app, not the Windows display settings?

I don't have that on my laptop. I don't have Intel graphics command center program. I have the Intel graphics software program.

When I just check my monitor display with windows, it doesn't show the 32' 4k monitor. System display only shows my laptop screen and the 24' 1920x1200 Asus monitor.
