Solved Need to unhide C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder.

Hey.
i need to unhide C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder , because there is a file (gamingservices.exe) that i need to exclude via my antivirus ,
cause all the time i take false report for this. I know that i dont have the permissions to do that , as trusted installer is the owner.
(the folder is hidden and does not appear in my antivirus to exlude it)
Is it safe to take the ownership of this folder and it's contents to unhide them ?

If you enable to show hidden files in Explorer settings, can you then access the folder with antivirus and put it in exclude list? If you decide to unhide it change the owner to Administrators group, not to your user account.

It would be OK to change the owner to "administrators" and then unhide them all ?

Yes, it doesn't affect the functionality. It affects only who can make modifications to the contents. TrustedInstaller has full access anyway, it doesn't have to be the owner. Have in mind that a future update may change owner back to TrustedInstaller.

Sorry I was wrong.
When i enable to show hidden files in Explorer settings, i can access the folder with antivirus and put it in exclude list.
