Being a third party card and not onboard the drivers and sound may be a big improvement. In my experience the Realtek drivers for my onboard soundcard form a vacuum.

I just want to try it out and see if I get any kind of improvement. It's only 40 bucks and why not try? I have these speakers and I want to get the most out of them

When my son moved back I had to give him his old room back that was my computer room. I had to leave my speakers because I don't have room for them
Now I'm using a USB powered soundbar that sits under monitor 1. Not the best but for their size I think they sound good. If I was home I'd show you a pic.

I bought a refurbished 21" wide Bose Soundbar Solo Series 2 for $99 from Bose. It sits in front of/under my main monitor. Sounds great. It's Bluetooth or wired.

I have a Bose Soundbar connected to my main TV. It does have sound great. It replaced a 5.1 Vizio sound bar. I just measured it and it's almost 28" so I'm not sure if it would be considered 27" or 28". The next time I'm signed-in to my Amazon account I'll look it up.

I have a Bose Soundbar connected to my main TV. It does have sound great. It replaced a 5.1 Vizio sound bar. I just measured it and it's almost 28" so I'm not sure if it would be considered 27" or 28". The next time I'm signed-in to my Amazon account I'll look it up.

I just looked up my Bose soundbar purchase on Amazon. The soundbar is the Bose Smart Soundbar 300. The soundbar has great sound but I wouldn't buy it again unless I found a good deal. According to Amazon I paid $449.00 for it.
