New update of CCleaner

Just use CCleaner for cleaning web history files and temp files.

I mean there is a option within the browser but it's just quicker within CCleaner

New update just released today CCleaner v6.15.10623

Not yet available on the Builds page at 10:30AM EDT. If you run a portable version, don't let CC update itself by installing a full version, complete with registry stuff galore in both CU and LM keys. Just wait for the new Portable build. It's never a long wait.

It's still (11:30AM) not up on the Builds page, and I'm a little leery of the version Piriform has given to MG: see the bright red "Ad Supported" warning on the MG page. Maybe nothing, but I think I'll wait for the Piriform native version.

I've never seen that red warning on the MG download page for CC before today. You suppose Avast has its fingers in the pie again?

Wonder WHY (??) this new version takes minutes to start...............
Seems to work fine , but this start-up is not normal !!
Anyone noticed this too ...........??

Hey, friend. I run the portables from PortableApps.com, and mine is starting normally -- a couple of seconds and it's there, though sometimes the Analyze and Run Cleaner buttons are grey for a few seconds before they turn blue and are ready to use. But because I have had trouble with CCleaner opening swiftly before, I decided to check on this version for you, and I downloaded and installed the Free-Installer version and gave it my real CCleaner.ini file before I ran it. It opened in about two seconds, and was ready to use a couple of seconds after that. So, either there's something going on with your settings, or you got a bad update, and should re-do it. You might also check the registry HKCU and HKLM Software keys for Piriform, and see whether you see anything odd in the keys and values there.

I have three licenses for CC, but I don't use them, because as soon as I register my key, CC becomes a slow starter. If I use the Free version and don't register my key, but DO copy my CCleaner.lic file to the appropriate place, that makes sure the program "knows" I have a license, but I don't "activate" it when I go to Options > License key, I just see my details there.

I think CCleaner offers more than a handful of cleaning options in a custom clean, which if you wanted to implement if windows alone would take multiple actions, if even possible.
