CCleaner 7 Warning

My Wife's Laptop automatically installed this , I would advise not to use this. It is a Bloatware Nightmare. I blocked it on mine.

I only use the Portable version Ive been using it for years block it also in my firewall settings no bloatware for me.
And only these 3 files that are placed in C:\Program Files\CCleaner Folder

ccleaner.ini
CCleaner64.exe
portable.dat

I have the pro version of 6.39.11548 installed ... been kinda broke so my subscription lapsed..
need to renew but..
is the v7 installer dangerous for some reason?!

No just bloated. I have the same one 9.39.11548 and my sub ends in April 2026. I will not renew it.

ooh ok, I used the updater built into v6.39.. but it only downloaded the online installer...

I didn't ask me for any thing related to where to install it.. and it wiped my old CCleaner install location...
I am glad I backed up my settings ccleaner.ini where all my saved cookies are located...

AND there doesn't appear to be any custom settings features anymore..
it missing the features where I can set cookies to save..
MEH!! we have been had by the CCleaner devs this time..
I will make a feature request/complaint on there forums..

ok there is a feature request feature using Idea Portal built into it...
so I created a cookie save feature.

I found a settings button top right of the Custom Clean tab..
the features saving cookies etc is all there..

I don't blame any of you for bypassing any version 7 of CCleaner.
I'm sticking with my CCleaner 6.39.11548 Portable.

I just thought I throw it out there if someone was game to try it.

Thanks but I will stay with the version prior to 7.XXXX till 4/26 then I will move to a potable older release. They have ruined this app.
