You're welcome
No need for the microaggression bro
do you crave randy's on the internet blowing up your a*s when you point something out/help them?

Yes i am thankful for you pointing out the firewall
which made me think about my blocking of explorer a long time ago
it never entered my head as i presumed the update process would be outside of explorer

e.g an external app updater or the startmenu process (via explorer.exe is better than an external updater ofc)

If you have permanently disabled the systray icon through its settings, you can still access the file in which the settings are stored, by opening it in notepad:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\28017CharlesMilette.TranslucentTB_v826wp6bftszj\RoamingState\settings.json
Just change the line near the bottom of the file from:
"hide_tray": true,
to:
"hide_tray": false,. (Just in case you didn't already know.)

Same with Windows 11 Home 22H2 22623.1028. You could use StartAllBack which was also affected by this issue, but quickly fixed by devs with the 3.5.6 update. They synergize well, so hoping for EP fix/workaround soon.

The fix from StartAllBack has to be ported over to ExplorerPatcher… thanks for pointing out the versions.

Does anyone have version 3.5.6 and the version immediately before that? Thanks.

I do not know if it is related to EP, but when clicking the Wi-Fi tray icon the first time, the flyout that appears is Control Center, not the Wi-Fi flyout. The setting in EP is "Windows 11 flyout"

Hi @Anixx,
Uninstall EP is the best way to find out.
Unstalling EP will not make you lose your settings, then reinstall it.
I am not experiencing this behavior on Beta channel build 22623.1028.

Win 11 installed a December update today and the Win 11 start menu doesn't come up when clicking the start button. If I switch to the 10 menu, it works. I just uninstalled the update and disabled updates for 5 weeks. I'll enable them again if a new version of EP comes out. I tried uninstalling EP and reinstalling, but that did not fix the problem.

Same here. I am experiencing the same after KB5021255 was installed. My start menu seems to crash consistently.
Event Viewer is reporting the crash also.
I have ExplorerPatcher installed too.
