Make free backup images and save the images to another disk drive or the cloud.

If you do not have a PSU to swap then you can reset, clean or custom install.

Clean install Windows 10 or Windows 11 > monitor for unexpected shutdowns or restarts

If there are no unexpected shutdowns or restarts with a new operating system then attribute the problem to the operating system and installed applications.

If there are unexpected shutdowns after a clean install then attribute to malfunctioning hardware.

Thanks Zbook, and also thanks for your time in investigating the problem on my behalf, I think I should also apologise for what the frustrations you probably experienced with me and my failure to grasp the issue from your point of view, I'm not a techy by any stretch of the imagination and it didn't help with my approaching years, I'm on the wrong side of 77!! Anyway, I'm just about to reinstall windows 11 and I'll let you know in due course what I find.
Best Regards
Jim

When you clean install please make sure that drivers are reinstalled form the motherboard or component manufacturer websites.

Then use the computer with the fewest applications for testing purposes.

If there are no problems then install applications and make free backup images.

If there are problems before installing applications then you continue to rule in / rule out factors.

Hi zbook,
Update.
checked drivers etc, as per comment, all ok and updated.
Backup completed a stored in Cloud.
Implemented clean Windows 11 install
Settings, System, Recovery, Reset PC, Remove everything.
Windows 11 download, PC restarted automatically and presented with opening screen,
Entered Microsoft Pin No, access to PC failed, error message: The User Profile Service Failed the sign in.
Tried access with Microsoft Acc No password, same problem and error message, changed password, same problem.
Investigated problem on web, but most theories require access to the command prompt, but I can't get passed the sign-in screen.
Attempted access in SAFE MODE, but same problem.
What is the alternative way of getting a clean install as it appears there is a corruption somewhere?
Thanks

For a clean install please boot the MCT flash drive (Windows iso).

Delete all partitions > make an unallocated drive

There should no longer be any operating system or registry files in the computer.

Allow the MCT to create new default partitions.

That's great news.

Consider making free backup images:

Please monitor the computer using Reliability Monitor:

If you post a new V2 in one week it can be scanned for unexpected shutdowns and restarts.
