Right, been away for a while.

(yes I have previous experience of sfc and dism - I know these things can take a while..............)

OK, so tried HD Sentinel (Free DOS version). Wouldn't work. Got a message saying 'Windows can't run this', so had to use the trial version instead.

I'll have to leave things there for now, until I can get around to performing HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (I've been running it up until now though, and no problems so far with it, it's been installed for a while now).

Seems like many of the commands that users are asked to manually run and post the output (either on a shared site or the thread), could be included in the "info gathering" script to run automatically, and post output as logs.

Makes it much easier for the user to re-run steps after making recommended changes.

Similar to what the Sysnative script does...
