Windows 11
Hi all ,
i have this strange problem where various windows lets say "commands" are not starting like e.g. settings or solitaire when i click them from the windows bar icon pop up window.
Also troubleshooting (from control panel) shows a pop up saying internal error , or e.g. windows store pop up a message "package could not be registered.
Also many other windows apps (e.g. paint, snip etc) when i click them at first i got a pop up window saying i cannot run the program but in the second try they start and from then on they stay ok.

Maybe registry is damaged because
I use revo uninstaller and all these happened after a massive uninstallation of many installed apps. I may say nonsense as i am not an expert like you but i think revo uninstaller , uninstalled or deleted registry entries or messed something. If some of you know revo, it observes the installation of the programs and so it knows what to uninstall. But i usually use the pc while this happens so it could add to the uninstallation list something it should not. I believe the problem has to do with the uninstallation of office.

Anyway i intent to do a Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade as sfc do not show any errors and i cannot afford to install windows 11 from scratch.

If you can think something descent i could try i'll be much obliged for the heads up.

Thank you for your time reding this and excuse my lame English.

Regards,
Nik.

Doing a Repair Install will be the fastest and cleanest way to get back to normal.
Be sure to do a Backup of your personal files before you proceed in case things go sideways.

Your computer doesn't meet hardware requirements to run Windows 11. But there's a way to install it by bypassing the requirements.
A good application called Rufus will allow you to create a installation USB that bypasses the requirements.

Hi Nik,
Sorry about your issues but to be blunt you have damaged your system beyond repair by uninstalling key software.
Revo is a powerful tool but it will not prevent you from doing harm to your system, no software can do that.
The removal of MS Office would not give you the errors you have listed.
I am assuming you don't have a backup dating back to prior that 'massive' removal, so sadly and because of the repair install failure,
you know what's left for you to do.
I don't have much faith but before you restart from scratch, you could try from powershell:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth <enter>

It looks like you had Windows 11 previously
Windows Build/VersionWindows Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2428)
Can you still boot into Windows? If so, I would backup any user files you want from C:\Users\UserName (ie) Desktop, Downloads, Documents etc and save them to an External USB Drive.
As stated you can open a Command Prompt, Powershell, or Terminal as Admin.
Here, copy and paste or type and press Enter
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
When that completes, type and press Enter
SFC /scannow
This will replace any missing system files.

If you still have problems, and are backed up, as Stated, I would download Rufus and download Windows 11 image from it and do a Clean Install

@Scott --> Thank you 4 your answer. I recently bought a new system and i didn't update my computer info here in the forum. Did now. Sorry to mislead you by accident in your answer.

@OAT , @Spunk --> Thank you 4 your answers. I tried what you suggested the result was:
C:\Windows\system32> DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.22621.1

Image Version: 10.0.22621.2428

The source files could not be found.
Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see Configure a Windows Repair Source.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

then i run the sfc command which did not find any problems.

I restored from a backup i had a week ago.
Windows seems better now.
I will do an sfc /scannow.
Is there anything you would suggest so i can spot what changes were reverted back with the old restore i did?

Thank you for your time.

Nik.
