Service is AT&T 5000 (5G FTTP) technology isn't widely available yet to do a speedtest from a computer. I test the 5G from the gateway (BGW320) to the AT&T servers using the Smart Home Manager app, typically get between 4,700M-5,200M download, slightly less upload, 4,200M-4,700M.

Hmm I wish well I live in rural Australia and my net provider is the national carrier Telstra and I pay $115 per month for 50Mbps over wifi and sometimes am lucky to get up to 80Mbps. So net speeds like you fellows get is a pipe dream that is not going come soon.

After 20 plus years of COX and price increases for a slow 250/12 ($90) I decided to look elsewhere.
Wyyerd just installed fiber in Phoenix AZ and in Surprise.
Install was easy and quick with their wifi router and now have 1Gig / 1Gig for a reasonable price of $105
With some latency it drops to 950 up and down.
2 ms ping rate and 1ms jitter.

Stable and constant and glad I left Cox.

Yeah the Verizon tech showed up on Monday, and said we can offer up to 2GB/sec.
I told him 300/300 is fine. He looked... surprised. LOL

Ofc, the fiber modem (ONT), is at one side of the apartment and my comp is at the other side.
So I have a CAT6 Ethernet cable running across the floor.

So I ordered some of these... to protect the cable and remove the trip hazard...
I could just see myself, one morning... catching the cable with my foot and pulling the computer off the desk. LOL

I pay $60 for 25Mbps Wireless DSL and always get 24.xx to 25.xx speed but use a lot of bandwidth. I have 6 computers connected via Ethernet and 3 Wi-Fi 5G continuously connected.

Oh, mesh system is not a network provider. It's a router device that you can place in different rooms for better coverage and speed without running cables. You can just plug it into your Verizon modem and put the pods in different rooms and you are good to go.

For covering cables across the floor might consider gaffer tape as used by movie studios in their sets, less of a bump.

I understand, but I don't DO wireless, and only run one computer.
I have unlimited data on my celly, so I don't even need wireless for that. :-)

But Mesh definitely is a nice system.

I'm currently using a LinkSys Velop Mesh, the Atlas Pro ME5500 series, but as wired APs - and it's killing my UL speed in half. Known issue, only way to currently fix it is to reset - and my network is so customized that it takes me a good while to set it all back up.

Extremely unhappy with this, even if it doesn't actually affect me in real time. I can plug into my AT&T Residential Gateway and get accurate speeds when I by pass the LinkSys, using all the same built-in cables installed when my home was built.
