StartAllBack

Seems like some people are having trouble with ExplorerPatcher.

I think StartAllBack will be a more reliable option into the future. I just think it will be better supported.
And it's only a very small price to pay.

It's sad that we even have to do this, but Windows 11 is crippled in some ways.

Am I missing a setting buried somewhere? Thanks for any help you can offer.
Mouse middle-click will invoke the native Start Menu, that's pretty much standard with all of them...,
or, a multi-finger gesture of some pre-determined value, that emulates middle click, on a touchpad, if that happens to be the case.

Yes from what I've heard it doesn't work well on 22H2. I've also heard that MS removed some stuff that EP relied on.
IDK, I've never used it. It just gives you back the Win10 explorer and taskbar/start which aren't amazing at all. SAB is way better IMO. Not only does it still work, but it also gives you way more options and features.
Windows isn't crippled, all the features are still there. It just doesn't look the way I want it to.

Great find. I did not know this.
I'll still never use it since it's complete garbage though. lol

Mouse middle-click can be assigned various key combinations. I can find no combinations that bring up the native Start Menu when using SAB. If I program it to the WinKey, then it does nothing more than exactly what happens when I hit the WinKey itself; i.e., bring up the SAB Menu. What am I missing? I understand I can temporarily disable the SAB Menu but that sort of defeats my purpose. If I go back to Start 11, I can active the native Start Menu without disabling Start11. Thanks for the input. Chuck

On my machine, that key combination does the same thing as right-clicking the SAB Start icon at lower-left. It does not open the native Windows 11 Start Menu, incl. installed programs, etc. I guess that's "the problem" that I have. Thanks, Chuck

Just press the middle mouse button on the start button, nothing else is required (no key binding).

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the middle Logitech mouse button does nothing on my machine. . . . As I wrote this, I decided to go into the Logitech settings. I found where I could reset everything back to Factory Settings. Once I did that, I can now click the middle button when hovering over the SAB Start Button and bring up the native Windows 11 Start Menu. Thank you! Any other place on a web page, clicking the middle button brings up the Up/down arrow to scroll the page without rolling the wheel. Toggling the middle button turns that feature off.
I don't believe I've ever changed anything in the Logitech settings before, but a reset sure worked.
Thanks again.
Chuck

It worked for me in that it launched the 'StartAllBack installation' window but I didn't continue with it since I prefer to wait for stable version. Did you not even get this window or are you saying that the 'Install for me/Install for everyone' options didn't work?

Okay..., there's something dickered with this Preview!
I get momentary black flashing on Explorer windows, that's about it...,
aside from that, I see nothing different..., certainly none of these new options...

I have a suspicion though, that this Preview and QTTabBar are not playing nicely together!

Hello, is there any plan of having the Windows 10 Start menu with live tiles included in StartAllBack? I vastly prefer it to the Windows 7/Windows XP style menus that StartAllBack offers...
Thank you in advance for the reply.

I kinda doubt it, but, you can snoop around the SAB forums about it.
