OS
Windows 10
Hello ,

For the installation of a game that I downloaded, I used a "defender control 1.6" to turn off the Windows defender ,
But when I tried to turn on the Windows Defender, I was not able to turn it on.
Upon checking some of the videos, I found out that the software "defender control 1.6" has deleted all the registry entries and services related to Windows Security.
I updated Windows 11 twice in order to get the services , but still the services didn't start and I didn't get the Windows security

I found out the list of services with the zip file you have provided for.reg and .hiv files.
But the services are not created by the services.msc

please help me here
I have attched the screenshots of my error in the reply below

Have you tried reinstalling Windows Defender? Here's a link that might help:

Also, there appears to be a more updated version of defender control. Version 2.1 I believe.

Did you attempt the reinstall over the existing install, or did you use PowerShell to uninstall the current copy first?

I just tried to run the downloaded file -> is it considered as reinstalling?

I have not tried to uninstall the current copy of files

But I tried these powershell commands before as a workaround still no results
Commands:
1. Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealth UI -Allusers | Reset-AppxPackage
2. add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register ((Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -allusers).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml')

If ANY software requires breaking Defender then it's simple - DON'T INSTALL IT. I've yet to find a game that requires disabling/breaking Defender. That installer likely has malware.

Yes, that would be reinstalling over what is already installed, unless it attempts to remove all other software first.

After reading further, you actually cannot uninstall Microsoft Defender either.

The article I attached earlier has a 10-step fix sequence and unfortunately number 10 is reinstall the OS.

I'm not into the gaming industry, but when I searched for that game, there were other websites popping up. Looking at Ocean of Games website, there is a lot of talk about hacks. Are they providing a hack to download and play the game for free instead of purchasing it? If that's the case, I agree with @BrianInEngland. There is probably some type of code added to a file which is malicious.

I know this doesn't help you with the Microsoft Defender issue.
