I've already checked with my System/Motherboard Maker for updated BIOS, chipset drivers, and all USB drivers 5 times to no avail.

Do have anything other than the keyboard and mouse plugged into the USB ports? Disconnect everything from the USB ports except the mouse. If you still get the error, try plugging the mouse into different USB ports. I'm thinking a USB device has failed or the motherboard has a problem. Another possibility is a Windows update could be causing the problem.

Everything is plugged into 2 7port USB 3.o ports....
I'm just trying to troubleshoot and save the internal USB 3.0's that I had for 1 year
they seam to have failed after I upgraded to Win 11 and the via drivers don't seam compatible and the card makers never update their drivers, seamed they build a POS card sold it, then abandoned it

Try running the Hardware and Device troubleshooter. Open Windows Terminal and copy and paste this,

Yeah, msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic found the issue but after the requested restart nothing has changed, issue persists

It looks like a hardware misconfiguration or motherboard failure. Try to reset all BIOS settings to default; if no effect, then disconnect power cord, remove the lithium cell (usually CR2032) for ~5 min, then insert it again and select the default or most safe settings in BIOS.

P.S. Look first at possible conflicts, if you haven't done it yet: System Information > Hardware Resources > Conflicts

Yeah, none of that did anything to help but thanks anyway, i removed the 3.0 expansion USB cards and the issue went away
