Solved Upload speed very slow

That's your problem. KILLER! It all Killer Networking does is kill your connection with their bloatware Killer control center and services. On paper, it caps your bandwidth to prioritize it for other things (as if it knows where to give the most bandwidth to!!) which is not even needed at this day and age with people having fast internet. Maybe this feature was useful back in the 56kbps modem days.

Press Win + R to pull up the Run Dialogue Box
type services.msc then hit ENTER
look for all KILLER related services, double click on each one and set it to DISABLED

In your start menu also, type Killer and uninstall the KILLER Control Center

Reboot and watch your internet com back to life!

PS: this is the number one problem we get in our support help desk and on Reddit forums. KILLER should be killed for good!

Since Intel doesn't seem to be supporting that adapter any longer there haven't been any driver updates in a long time so the one on Dell's support page is your best bet and it's probably the one you are using,
Things to try.
(You said you have done this)Try resetting your network adapters. Reset Network Adapters in Windows 11 Tutorial

Then try resetting your network components using @FreeBooter bat file which I have attached. Run it as administrator.

How are you testing your internet speed? You should be using something like this Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test

There could be an issue with your ethernet adapter.Try a usb ethernet adapter or a usb wifi adapter if your system is not equipped with wifi. They cost about $10 on Amazon.

Check your router for a firmware update.
The problem could also be your router. The circuitry that handles wireless traffic is different from the circuitry that handles wired. I have seen a router problem affect one side but not the other.

The only reason I ask, is that you were not aware that I have the Killer which was in my original post, which tells me that you might not have seen that my download speeds are fine.

still, you don't want anything monitoring and throttling your bandwidth with your fast internet.

On a side note, if that doesn't solve the problem which it should, but if it didn't, the other thing to do is to go to your Ethernet adapter in device manager, Properties > Advanced > Large Send Offload v2 (IPv4) and set the value to DISABLED, Also do the same for the setting right underneath it for IPv6

Google it and you will see how this solves a lot of upload issues as well

Hey all!

I'm having the same issues as the original poster kolenda52. I also have a pre-built XPS 8930 with the Killer E2400 Gigabit. I currently have 950mbps download but a dismal 2-5mbps upload speed. I should have the same down/up speeds. My hardwired Macbook Pro has no issues, and this thread pretty much confirms that it's a hardware issue similar to the OP.

I've done all the troubleshooting steps including uninstalling the Killer Networking Software and the steps below

That is not so. High speed internet providers have always designed their systems to give priority to downloading. It depends on the isp but most I'm familiar with set the upload speed limit as a percentage of their download speed. For example, on my plan my upload is about 10% of my download. During non peak hours sometimes, my upload speed will increase a bit.

Upload speeds for Comcast XFinity in Atlanta is capped at 24Mbps. I can reach download speeds as high as 900Mbps. Maximum upload speed is ALWAYS 24Mbps.

Hey there. I just experienced the same issue with my Dell XPS 8930 (and Killer E2400 Gigabit ethernet card) following a Windows 11 update where my download speeds were 900mbps but my upload speeds were a ridiculous 0.1mbps.

After a lot of troubleshooting I finally opened the Killer Intelligence Center application, navigated to settings (the gear symbol in the upper right corner) and SWITCHED OFF "Killer Prioritization Engine" as well as "Auto Bandwidth." Instantly my upload speeds are identical to my download speeds at 900mbps. Problem solved for me.

(NOTE: I'm not sure if I always had the Killer Intelligence Center app installed on my PC or if it was updated/installed when I updated the latest Killer Ethernet drivers from the Dell website... which I'd done earlier in the day. So if you're lacking that app you may need to do this step also. Image of the app attached.)

Amazing! That totally fixed it for me. I installed the Killer Intelligence Center after reading this thread earlier. I only switched off the "Auto Bandwidth" when I first tried it. After switching off the "Killer Prioritization Engine." My upload speeds are back baby! Thanks a bunch for looking into that.

After 3 agonizing days of trying to figure out what was wrong with my 800/200 internet connection - download was fine (797Mbps, but upload at a 28.8k dial-up speed of 0.1Mbps); finally found this thread which pointed me in the right direction. Only my main PC was affected, with none of my other devices at home.

Man, i thought it was everything from a bad windows update, adaptor setting, fried network card (which somehow only affected upload), router issue, even Unifi AP settings, and even physical network cable to almost give up then find it was this janky Killer Prioritisation Engine...

Just hope that Killer Networks either explain or test their releases next time... throttling to like 0.1Mbps is just insane in this day & age.

I too have a Dell XPS 8930 (and Killer E2400 Gigabit ethernet card) got the Windows update and crushed my upload speed. I spent a few hours trying a lot of suggestions and troubleshooting until I found this post. KILLER killed it, so I killed KILLER. Thank you!

What is the upload speed for the package you are on? XFinity speeds are always profiled at 20% higher than the advertised speeds. I am on the Gigabit Extra 1200Mbps/35Mbps package and I always get 1400MBps downloads and 42Mbps uploads here in San Francisco. You sound like you have Extreme Pro or Ultrafast package which is 1000Mbps/20Mbps that would give you 1200Mbps(or 940Mbps maximum if you are on a 1Gbps ethernet)/24Mbps with the 20% overprovisioning. I also own and run an ISP in Hawaii.
