What fraction of users have migrated to Windows 11 on their main system?

I've seen numbers around 9% but it's hard to say what the real number is.

Weird. Mine ran the first 3 or 4 builds fine but then with each subsequent one it got slower and slower, eventually became unusable.

Yeah, perhaps mine got a bit sluggish too.
It's an old HP Pavilion from 2009..., it was chuggin along okay then one day MS decided it was time for retirement!

Totally agree, I have the main PC my wife's, this one which is my best one, a test machine and the very old box of sh!te on win 10 for testing really dodgy stuff that could ruin a computer

A lot of big organisations are still on XP and 7. We used to rent a warehouse from a company that got them all in wiped the drives and replaced them

I seriously doubt there are many big organisations on XP and 7 anymore - define big anyway.

In the end, it comes down to choice but the key fact that sort of gets overlooked is that Windows 10 is no longer being developed, but Windows 11 is, so at some point, we will get useful new features - pity the mindset is all on blinking emojis and other cosmetic clap trap but one day we might get the fabled tabs in explorer.

Yeah, I wanted to inject a sense of reality. Consider the baseline, 9% of what? 16% of what? If you look around you, there is no way that 1 of 11 computers run W11, let alone 1 of 6!

You would be surprised, especially big charity organisations, obviously I cannot name them but we were getting literally 3 stacked pallets of just base units every 6 to 8 weeks

I have this desktop, my teaching computer at the Sr. Center, a 17" laptop and my Little Lenovo. All qualify for Windows 11 except for Little Lenovo, but as a test, I clean installed Windows 11 on it, then updated to the latest version and it works just fine.

My desktop dual boots with Windows 10 as my main system and Windows 11 DEV channel. My teaching computer dual boots Windows 10 as my main system and Windows 11 current version because my students aren't quite ready for Windows 11. When appropriate, I boot into Windows 11 to show them something.

My 17" HP laptop dual boots with Windows 10 and current Windows 11 as a backup to the Senior Center teaching computer.

So, I will keep Windows 10 as my main system and continue to test Windows 11, whether it be DEV channel or current version.

I saw that one too. I wouldn't doubt it's correct, but Windows 10 updates are still much more than Windows 11.

I have 2 system that are new and compatible. 11 is on System 1 on a separate 1 TB SSD while 10 is on the M2 1 TB drive. Have not booted into 11 for several weeks now. Don't like the lack of folder view icons or the hand holding right click menu. 11 needs about 3 hours work to get it into shape using Ultimate Windows Tweaker , Winaero Tweaker and Windows 11 Forums (thanks John and Brink). The default for now is 10. Always hand to have another OS to boot into on the same machine if one goes bad,
