Yes, when you say it like that, it sure does sound ugly.
Actually that's "Small Change" for companies like Apple, Google, Amazon, Ms etc etc. Plus these companies like actual political power where they can change / decide govt policies etc whatever the electorate thinks. In their A.I and robotics division alone Ms is making zillions of bucks plus it has a huge income from cloud services (Azure etc) and is involved with the military on cyber security etc etc. I doubt whether a few subscribers signing up to Mailbird etc would even be noticed at the lowest and most junior level.Yup!
