Will an In Place Update work to install latest update?

For unknown reasons Windows Update is unable to install KB5017383 on my 21H2 Build 22000.856 system. The stand-alone installer also fails. So I think my last resort is to download the latest Win11 ISO file and do an in-place update. What are my chances that this will get me to the current version?

Download 20H2 iso from MS and update to new version - pointless updating 21H2 as it will want to go to 22H2 which is much better.

Yup - downloading the ISO file and doing an IN-Place update worked:

I have to re-do several software tweaks, but that's not a big deal. The interesting thing was that in the middle of the update's reboots I got the message of "no boot drive" available, so I had to boot Macrium's Rescue disk and do the "Fix boot problems" function. That let the reboots continue OK.
