Sometimes the restart may be a result of system failure, when OS decides that it's the best way to restore the functionality. Although such event is usually written to the system log (see Error filter in Event Viewer), restart without a warning may be very undesirable.

Usually I switch this option off: Settings > System > About > find the link to Advanced system settings > Start-up and Recovery, Settings... > clear the check box "Automatically restart" in the System failure group. I also suggest to set here the Small memory dump (256 KB).

You don't.
You make a bootable USB with just the rescue media. So you can still access your backups if Windows won't boot.

The backup itself you make and store on a different drive. It'll be 1/2 the size of w/e is on the C:\ drive.

The first 4 pics, are just how to make the backup.
The 5th pic is how to make the Rescue media.

I'm guessing the Toshiba is the storage drive. Put the backup on there.
The steps on those pics are numbered.
Step #2 is where to tell Macrium where to save (store) the backup.

The rescue media, is just a bootable copy of the Macrium program.
That way, if Windows won't boot... you can boot from the Rescue Media, and restore your backup.

I have about 40GB on my C:\ drive (Windows). So when I make a backup, it's about 20GB in size.
It takes me 2 minutes 30 seconds, to make a FULL backup.
When creating media > advanced > Choose Base WIM > Do I choose 1.) Windows RE or 2.) Windows PE 11 (WADK)?

I would, unfortunately the computer has no room for such graphics card, I think. :(

Why does Kernel-Power Error 41 Occur?

There could be several reasons behind this error, including:
  • Lack of sufficient power supply
  • Hardware failure
  • System overclocking
  • Memory errors

  • Outdated BIOS
  • Third-party software
  • File corruption
  • Driver incompatibility
One frequently seen reason for this type error is having duplicate audio drivers installed. If you do disable one in device manager.

My computer randomly restarts for no apparent reason.

I just updated firmware and video, wireless, and blutooth drivers. And five minutes later it restarted again.

Is it a firmware problem or windows 11 issue?
Some incompatible driver problem. Have you tried booting into Safe mode and checked if the problems persists?

Windows 11 is perfectly fine as far as I am concerned.

I've had Kernel-Power Error 41 on three different builds, and three different OSes. (Win 7, 10, and 11)

The only consistent thing is a very good, but old power supply.
I believe in my case, this power supply is from before they started adding over current and over voltage protections.
It's from before they started rating power supplies by color. Aka, gold, platinum, silver, bronze, etc.

I think in my case, just the age of the power supply, is generating the Event ID 41 errors.

It's a PC Power & Cooling 750W PSU, from long before OCZ bought the company.
♫ Back in the good old days. Back in the USA. ♫

I have two of these power supplies.

PC Power and Cooling, also known as PC Power & Cooling, is owned and operated by FirePower Technology, Inc., a California-based company that manufactures computer power supplies. PC Power and Cooling was founded in 1985 and based in Carlsbad, California. On May 25, 2007, the company was acquired by OCZ Technology. On February 10, 2014, FirePower Technology announced acquisition of OCZ Technology Group's power supply division including PC Power and Cooling.

So they are older than 2007.
They even "look" awesome...

OMG @Ghot. Aren't you concerned lack of overvoltage protection might damage your hardware?

Actually they do have it, just not the same as the newer standards.
I saved this .pdf on my computer, on June 9th 2007.
It has already survived one lightning storm, that melted my surge protector.

Every now and then a company makes something really awesome.
Like the '67 Mustang or the '68 Vette, or the '55 Chevy.
This power supply was one of those things.
They weren't cheap.
I bought two of them. I have one in each of my assembled computer systems, listed in my specs.

My computer randomly restarts for no apparent reason.

I just updated firmware and video, wireless, and blutooth drivers. And five minutes later it restarted again.

Is it a firmware problem or windows 11 issue?
Time for a nettiquette lesson:

If you ask a question in one thread, it is unacceptable, for any reason, to start another identical thread hoping for different answers, more help, etc

Sorry, I just thought blinking on/off screen and random restarts were two different issues.

The thing may be related to shortage of memory. On Windows 8.1 when the system ran out of memory it simply terminated the current application. On Windows 11 I usually experience a crash of video driver when it runs out of memory. I also experienced change of screen resolution along the diver crash to a smaller one as if the system was using video memory for other apps when the memory was not enough.

Do you have pagefile and memory compression enabled? It looks like enabling the two made the crashes and random reboots disappear.
