Windows Update just offered me 25H2, (on both of my machines) - I have never seen that before. Should I take the bait or wait? :think:

I've been using 25H2 nearly two months, I'm rolled in the Insider Preview Channel, without issues. At home I use my computer for gaming most of the time.

I got 25H2 few days earlier, the day after I upgraded to W11, no issues so far.

I've got the offer today also. May monitor this for a few days just to see if anybody reports problems. I'm always a bit hesitant with early full version release to the masses. Do realize it isn't really a significant change in this case. Still.......

That is a good strategy, I did something very similar when my desktop PC was on 24H2 beta channel builds, I waited about 6 weeks before changing to the release preview 25H2. The only other thing I did was to make sure I had a full recent system backup of 24H2 beforehand.

Got the 25H2 this morning on this Desktop ASUS Z590 and went fast for install. All is good so far. I will check the other 2 systems later today. ASUS Laptop got the update also. The ASUS Z270 non- compatible have not got it yet. Maybe have to do that one manually :)

I have got the update now in a vm.

So 25H2 is fully live now for all those vast majority of Jo(e) Public who never even probably know an update was coming let alone how to manually do it.

We sometimes forget forum members are seriously clued up LOL.

    From Dell: 512GB NVME Solid State Drive accelerated by 32GB Intel Optane Memory are the fastest as compared to NAND SSDs. Intel Optane H10 with SSD offers speedy storage and accelerates opening your programs.
I used the 25H2 Enablement Package to switch my unsupported computer (see 2nd system specs) from 24H2 to 25H2, so I avoided all the trouble and time of a full installation. Another advantage is that it acts like a regular update, that means it doesn't check compatibility and so I didn't have to do anything to hide that my PC is not officially Windows 11 compliant. Just ran the 25H2 Enablement Package, waited a few seconds, restarted and that's it. All other updates install without checking compatibility anyway. No issues so far, knock on wood. Also it might be my idea, but 25H2 is a little faster than 24H2. Also because it didn't replace any system files, just enabled new features, I didn't have to customize my icons and other things again, like is the case of a full upgrade.
