Changed permisssions and now it prevents my windows 10 to bootup (i have a black screen)

All 4 of those need to have their permissions restored, but \Windows is the big / main one - hard to boot when it doesn't have permission to access the boot stuff.

I am asked this because i dont know if sign to my main profile "ghali" in windows pe will work (when i choose cmd it asks if i want to sign in as ghali or dd , i choose ghali then I have the windows pe cmd)

I just found this in my familly computer (not the one that has the issues) the version ks windows 10 , 22h2 , build 19045.3324 (the same as my computer)
The permissions for C:\Windows are similar to the one that i found in the windows 7 solution
The attached file is the familly computer not my computer.

I don't think it's you. I dropped out a while back, when it looked like @johnlgalt and @dracone and others had it covered. Maybe they're all busy or didn't notice that you had more questions. Anyhow, I feel like I would have to break a machine similarly and see if I could fix it via USB boot media before I could provide specific guidance, but it does seem reasonable that using takeown and cacls to reset the permissions has a chance. If no one else jumps back in, I'll see if I can run some tests.

The problem that you can run into here is that while the permissions for the main folders are those, folders inside may be set slightly differently, depending upon the app, because the apps that run also need permissions to, well, run.

It's possible that will fix your issue(s) entirely - it's also possible that it will only partially fix them and new issues will crop up.

As you were working with Dacrone, I dropped back and watched, but my intent would have been to tell you to bite the bullet and cleanly reinstall Windows, as that way everything will be fresh, and no leftover / remnants of the ill-fated permissions changes going down the road.

Hello , i tried your command but it is not working probably because my computer is in french. , however i tried a command i dont know if this cam work. icacls c:\windows /t /c /grant:r and there is all the permissions similar to my familly computer

I decided that i will go to a professional to see his opinnion about this , probably he knows many commands in french thay can repair the permissions

I would spend the money on a USB SSD, boot from your USB flash drive, and use Explorer++ or FastCopy to copy any data you need to the SSD. Then do a clean Windows install and reinstall your apps.

Actually the professional is a friend of my father so i dont have to pay anything. I didnt contact him for almost a year (only my father is talking to him) because i was able to fix thise issues my self
