Hi folks
I found after latest upgrade that Firefox was not working with some video content e.h Wimbledon live tennis from BBC
Edge Dev -- working fine - no probs

The only thing I really would like is to have a menu bar plus decent "book marks".

anyway --Running on Linux Fedora 38

Edge is already in stable channel under Linux.
Not really needed to be on Dev.

Works indeed as it follows Google Chrome logic: the browser gets installed with its own codecs, unlike Firefox relying on platform codecs or official Chromium releases that don't even have (h264) codecs.

You can customize it.
Show the 'favourites' bar, that's your bookmarks.
I'm usually a Chromium user with a classic view so I tend to make Edge look and behave the same.
I manage everything through that tiny '...' menu button. Though I haven't seen any menu bars so far. Please not via another extension / plugin.

The latest releases of Edge did annoyed me, that extra menus all over the place and extra options everywhere + Bing AI stuff were an abomination for my simplistic interface use. So there was a lot of clean-up to do.
