Hi.

I've some External Usb HDD Drive formatted with the ReFS filesystem.

I try to find some external software to read it ( only read not write ) on Windows 10 Home Version or Windows 7 or whatever outdated Windows versions.

I found only 1 ( is that not crazy? ): ReFS for Windows by Paragon Software

But it's not free, and looks like reserved for very professional/companies users, there is no download link and u have to send a request to the customer service of paragon, to just get a trial link of the version. ( is that not also crazy? )

I don't have problem to access my Usb HDD ReFS drive at home on my own Windows 11 version.
I just try to look at some externals softwares that can add the possibility to read ReFS on old Windows versions, but no have, I'm very surprise.

So my question is very simple :
Do you know some others external softwares ( free or not ) who can read ReFS partitions/drives?

Thank u in advance...

Is there a real need to keep the drives formatted as ReFS? I would use your Windows 11 version to copy the data from the ReFS drive to an NTFS drive and just ditch ReFS.

Microsoft seems to have abandoned ReFS.

Is there a real need to keep the drives formatted as ReFS? I would use your Windows 11 version to copy the data from the ReFS drive to an NTFS drive and just ditch ReFS.

To be honest there is not a real big need, but i switched all my drives to ReFS, ReFS promise a most resilient filesystem.
I thought ReFS was at least readable on Windows 10 Home, same as BitLocker who can open crypted drive ( but no create it ) on Windows 10 Home.

It bothers me a bit to back now in NTFS !
ReFS is ok for me ...

Just i thought if one day i break/loose or if someone steal my laptop abroad i could not access my Usb Crypted ReFS drive because public access computers will probably stay on Windows 10 Home or some old Windows versions.

That's why...

No, they have not. New version 3.10 actually appeared in the Canary build 25324,

Yeah, i'm on 3.9
I have a question about this...

fsutil fsinfo refsinfo D:
Does the ReFS version of a ReFS Drives/Partitions depend of the Os intalled? or depend of the version which formatted them?

Thx by advance.
