Solved Help! BSOD Driver Power State Failure ntoskrnl.exe on Windows 11

Hey guys,

I have a Lenovo LOQ 15APH10, and I've been getting a Driver_Power_State_Failure 0x9f BSOD about once a day, usually if I'm doing something performance intensive like gaming. I checked it with bluescreenview, and it all points to ntoskrnl.exe.

There are no drivers showing any issues (The yellow sign), I've tried running windows memory diagnostic, and also ran sfc /scannow. Neither showed any issues.

I haven't done any hardware upgrades recently, and I bought this laptop about a week ago.

I posted this on Windows Q&A, and was said that the issue is with the NVIDIA drivers. I uninstalled them using DDU, and reinstalled the VGA Driver provided by the manufacturer, and also the Game Ready Driver provided by NVIDIA. I've made sure to disconnect to the internet to prevent windows from installing drivers automatically.

The crash happened twice again afterwards, on the same day. Both while playing a game, although this has happened at times when there were no performance intensive tasks running.

All of the BSODs reported the same Nvidia GPU driver version: 32.0.15.8115




1) Please run administrative command prompt:

DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:WMIC~~~~




2) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link







3) Clean the Nvidia GPU driver using DDU then reinstall the older version from the Lenovo website: 32.0.15.7659

I did all the steps as mentioned. After installing the Nvidia driver, I disabled automatic driver updates just in case.

The computer now has the optimal settings so that it's less likely to miss BSODs.

The game ready driver can be installed after three to four days of monitoring.

Post a new V2 share link before installation.


For any BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post.

Alright, I will check for a few more days, and try running certain apps that previously seemed to cause the BSOD. If nothing happens, I'll install the driver.
