there are 'ways and means' to upgrade with the UUPDump ISO even if the machine doesn't meet the required specs, some of them really simple. I mean, I'm not even an Insider and I'm using W11 on a nine year old Legacy BIOS laptop with an usupported CPU and no TPM 2.0 to write this post.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Beta as native boot vhdx.

I have a custom machine with a 4th gen CPU and only TPM 1.3. I bypassed the requirements to put the insider build on my Surface Pro 3, but my fear is if I upgrade my main machine, when the full version of Windows 11 comes out, they'll force me to go back to 10 or even worse they'll lock me from using my PC.

I watched this video to make me concerned, anyone know if this is substantiated?

That guy that wrote the Compatibility Checker... sort of like the GitHub one... TPM 1.3 = TPM 2.0

I bought a 20pin, but I guess it was 1.2 and not 1.3. I enabled in BIOS at least.

I still think they will let people slide.
I saw that article where some MS zombie said they wouldn't... but... I think they will.

I seem to remember MS saying "free upgrade to Windows 10, for one year only".
Now, 6.5 years later, it's still a free upgrade to Win 10.


Obviously, there's no nuns with rulers, spanking their knuckles for fibbing. :)



Windows 10 will be the last operating system... oh wait...

Hi folks
some of the INTEL processor lists seem really strange to me --how are ANY Atom processors supported, and even a load of Celeron ones while some i7 processors not supported -- this just seems plain Bonkers --I'm sure ANY gen i7 processor will blow an ATOM out of the water as well as any Celeron !!!!

I'm sure the AMD list also has confusing entries as well - I just don't know about those.

Presumably it's the generation that counts. The latest generation of Atoms support functions that older generations of i7s don't.

    My SYSTEM FIVE is a Dell Latitude 3190 2-in-1, Pentium Silver N5030, 4GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro, plus the Insider Beta, Dev, and Canary builds as a native boot .vhdx.
Hello, i have for a few months windows 11, but suddenly, that appears.
I have Ryzen 3600, Fatality Asrock 350.

I see on my bios this option: AMD CPU FTPM but i choose every option it has, and still can't do anything.
What i can do ?

I assume you have a B550 motherboard. You should have a BIOS setting to enable TPM. I have an Asus board, so am not sure where to tell you to look. Mine is under Advanced settings.

I have this one ASRock > Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming K4
I found the option like i said to Zardoc but nothing..
Secure boot is enable also

You don't need to buy the chip....just have it turned on in your bios will work.
Those chips are pretty cheap thou....still you dont need to buy one.

I did bios update (the same as before but i did it again) and works..
