How to pass the Windows 11 Compatibility Checks


If some of you are members of the windows10 insider group, select dev and windows11 maybe available on your "unsupported" hardware. It was for me.

I use UUPDump.. It is an easy way without joining the Insider to get the ISO. (Also I needed to join Insider to not get stuck..)

It's dependent on your hardware -- I am running Win10 Dev Insider on my desktop and Win11 will not install -- errors out due to lack of TPM and Secure Boot. Does not matter whether you use Windows Update or the UUPDUMP ISO -- fails both times.

That's probably not going to hold a lot of water, considering @jen1 has shown repeatedly that 8th and 7th gen are the same. And it's only been a week.

I was on Win 10 dev channel on a 6th gen intel CPU and it updated to Windows 11. Shows the 'might be bugs and issues' in Settings but runs ok for now. Just create an image first so that you can restore if any future issues occur and you're good to go.

Don't know what happened but I had to rejoin Insiders again. After that doing the check for updates offered the Windows 11 download. Currently sitting at 82% installed.

BTW, I'm updating from Windows 101 Education version so It'll be interesting to see what Windows 11 version I get.

All these posts about bypassing TPM requirements are all predicated against one assumption i.e. the check for TPM is only done once at installation time.

Who knows if MS do not hard insert some code in release version that will check for a TPM during operation?

Well I don't need to bypass TPM as all my PC's meet the TPM requirement.

I have a hard time believing thats going to happen. The EFI check may stick but I would suspect that future W11 Enterprise/Pro? versions will ultimately require a TPM. "Home" versions will not. It just eliminates way too many devices that otherwise run Windows 10 just fine.

I'm currently running it on a cheap 2020 era Dell Inspiron Celeron/4GB laptop. Yes...Celeron. Absolutely no issues.
