Apparently, an insult was perceived where none was intended.

I just thought that there might be a better forum to post the OP's question than here.

I disagreed with the answers given? Why do you think that? As far as I know (which isn't far), it isn't possible to make a Windows file that has properties that can't be seen. Corrections would be welcome, as always.

I have no problem with criticism, but this one seems to be from well out in left field.

I didn't think that reply was as bad as you're making it out to be. Back in the day there were hacker groups that likely could have supplied better solutions than we likely can. That's not a insult that's called a fact.

OH and if you don't like the reply just pass by it.

Left field...but not from my perspective. I read no ambiguity in your statement and responded to exactly the way it was written. Though I may not always agree with everyone around here, my feathers tend to get ruffled if I perceive any member or the collective whole is being maligned. A very basic issue exists in that there is great difficulty controlling hardware parts from remotely-created software. However, I suppose there are hackers 'out there' that can do it.

Usually, if someone says something I think might be offensive or consider to be offensive, I report it and make my case. That way, the admins can decide whether it was insulting/offensive/or what have you. That's part of the reason we're in a moderated environment, isn't it?

Just because you took no issue with the post that began this, doesn't mean I had to see it the same way. Bobkn explained his intent and I appreciated and accepted it. I was thinking the same thing last night. And not sure why the OP thinks that W11 is not for him, maybe because of what he can`t do. But I don`t think that has anything to do with W10 or W11.
I personally would not help another member accomplish this goal.

I have personally never seen a file sent to me, even from a bank with this kind of behavior and probably would not trust it.

I could be wrong, but I think the OP just wants to remove the Metadata from the file and not the right click option. Metadata can contain personal info.

Not sure where all the hostility is coming from. This is a forum; people post opposing opinions all the time. I for one saw no issue with glasscutter's post, nor do I see an issue with bobkn's reply to her. I say chalk it up to an agreeable disagreement and move on.

I have no idea why anyone would take offense to the comment in question to begin with. It was simply an opinion and no one was insulted IMO
