What I have done in the past is to send smaller documents that I want to make more difficult to "Prune" by the recipient is use PDFCreator to create the pages as jpg images. They can be extracted using text readers but you can also add background images that can make machine reading more difficult.

With regards to some of the comments on this thread please treat each other as you expect to be treated ...

There must be a way to do it. I've found images and .pdfs online... that when right clicked on, allow no copying, downloading, etc.
I think anything that would disable right clicking on someone else's computer would be... illegal, as in malware, etc.

Maybe the OP should be looking for some type of DRM that could be included in the files?

Locked files. Read only.

There are professional methods that will make documents difficult to counterfeit, but they are understandably rather complex to use in addition to expensive to use.

I did some work in a printing plant in the UK where they produced important documents, such as Sports event tickets, and also the licences for Microsoft windows when they were paper. they used various methods to secure the documents , knowledge of many of which were not made public even to those of us working on the systems they used. They also had other plants in different locations where the literally printed Money :wink:

Why? That's merely the Properties of the file and it's destination, it has no identifying properties of where it came from or who the author is, etc.

That's what I said and described in some detail in a couple of earlier postings in this thread. And for MOST civilian/commercial purposes, it is VERY effective.

But for really important documents, nothing beats paper that is notarized in front of witnesses.

Fans of digital paper say it's more secure than paper, and mention things like digital paper cannot burn, and what not, it's only half true.

If you look I had to cover up my name. Metadata can contain personal info. Some photos such as ones taken with a cell phone can even show your location.

I tried it with some photos and PDF files, and it doesn't work.

I think you should ask the OP if they tried the software. I only tried it as a test to see if deleting the personal info still worked in Win 11.
