If you want to remove the LCU

To remove the LCU after installing the combined SSU and LCU package, use the DISM/Remove-Package command line option with the LCU package name as the argument. You can find the package name by using this command: DISM /online /get-packages.

Running Windows Update Standalone Installer (wusa.exe) with the /uninstall switch on the combined package will not work because the combined package contains the SSU. You cannot remove the SSU from the system after installation.

I've done this in the past, using dism++ and checking it shows all the folders you can delete without damaging the system.

Has anyone detected anomalies in the way standby memory works in this build?
On my system files get evicted from ram immediately after closing the programs associated with them, whereas before they used to get moved to standby memory in order to make subsequent launches faster, here is an example:

Especially games used to occupy more than 10 GB of standby memory after closing them, now they get removed as soon as I close the game.

hmm MS changed how it caches large things, another thing you can try to change to see if it caches more things is in regedit search for "largesystemcache" and put 1 change all the keys found, restart the PC and do the same test to see if with largesystemcache active it caches

I tried enabling it and it didn't change the caching behavior.
The situation is terrible because I don't know if Microsoft changed something under the hood, the patch notes don't mention anything related to memory management.
I would appreciate it if someone on this build could check the caching behavior of standby memory, at least I would have confirmation that there is nothing wrong with my OS install and registry settings (DISM and SFC are clean).

I just found out recently when dism gets stuck on 62.3% Windows update is downloading files to facilitate a repair.

Mine gets stuck at 62.3% too, as well as another PC here.
Good advice: let it finish and don't stop it in mid-repair!

Yes. That is correct. This has happened to me. It is not stuck. If you have patience, and I didn't the first time I ran this, it will finish and then when you reboot, it'll say "Updates are underway" and it will be fixed. After rebooting the PC, if you run the command again to double-check, it should be OK.

It is a really bad idea to clean up winsxs folders by deleting them.
These are the most protected folders to avoid malware attacks.

I was on 23H2, then I upgraded to 24H2 26100.1150 via ISO and then Windows Update immediately found the update to .1301 build.
