Release Highlights
  • Bug fixes included.
  • New Program Support added.
Known Issues
  • After installing the AMD Chipset Installer version “7.xx.xx.xx”, users cannot install version “6.xx.xx.xx” or earlier.
    Workaround:
    • Un-install the AMD Chipset installer version 7.xx.xx.xx or newer.
    • Delete the “Qt_Dependencies” folder located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\".
    • Install AMD Chipset installer version 6.xx.xx.xx or older.
  • On a non-English OS, some driver names may appear in English. 
  • Occasionally, Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.
  • Yellow bang on AMS Mailbox driver on the AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 9000 Series Processors [AMD WRX90] on Win10 OS.

How do know if have to install this new chipset on my laptop? Cause i think my chipset is an amd ryzen i have an acer.

Well, if you've been following along... you might just want to RUN.. very far and very fast. :)

If you're hinting at a solution... jump right in. Cause the normal stuff isn't working.
We've just been dealing with an Acer Nitro AN515-45, and the chipset driver installer... doesn't even think it has an AMD CPU, even though it does.

@Madg26 I've not seen a direct reply to this post, but looking at similar AMD/Acer issues on various forums this may have legs to run with. If you've tried uninstalling the old driver and reinstalling apologies as I haven't seen that

I don't think that worked for him.
@bryan123 has another option I think. Similar to what you did earlier.
Maybe that's the way to go with ACER laptops?

Well your model number ends in 46. His ends in 45. Maybe they changed something?

Was the driver you used 4.03.03.431?

Maybe he hasn't tried uninstalling the old driver and then reinstalling, there is nothing to suggest he's tried

I mentioned that to the other guy... I don't know if he did it or not.
He asked how to uninstall... I told him how in post #81.

This is in the release notes included with the chipset driver, from the ACER website...
Note: To give better user experience, AMD UART, AMD GPIO & AMD I2C Drivers were made as non-uninstall-able drivers from 'AMD Chipset Drivers' entry in control panel, even if deployed on the system

But the problem of Chipset driver executable not even opening after successful installation makes me wonder I have to follow that Techpowerup Forum solution to install new AMD Chipset drivers in future (Or may be not)....who's know what will happen for upcoming releases of Chipset drivers while trying to install them!!🤨
BTW thank 2 u y'all for suggesting help in this regard.
