  • Bug fixes included.
  • New Program Support added.
Known Issues
  • After installing the AMD Chipset Installer version “7.xx.xx.xx”, users cannot install version “6.xx.xx.xx” or earlier.
    Workaround:
    • Un-install the AMD Chipset installer version 7.xx.xx.xx or newer.
    • Delete the “Qt_Dependencies” folder located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Chipset_Software\".
    • Install AMD Chipset installer version 6.xx.xx.xx or older.
  • On a non-English OS, some driver names may appear in English. 
  • Occasionally, Ryzen PPKG may not install or upgrade.
  • Yellow bang on AMS Mailbox driver on the AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 9000 Series Processors [AMD WRX90] on Win10 OS.

Interesting that the version listed there is newer than on AMD's website, but the file versions are all the same as the existing 4.0.3.03.431, except the last 4 which are not in the package online at all.


And my system doesn't have USB4, so....I'm confrused.

I know what they are..
An unofficial release might be a better expression. Because that package posted on the ASUS Republic of Gamers Official Forum is not an official release from AMD.

I said that the package distributed on the forum is not an official release of AMD. At least it is not yet available on AMD's own website. The driver is made by AMD, or in cooperation with AMD. My first comment on the subject was perhaps poorly fashioned. However, there is no need to argue further. everyone is sure to understand.

MB manufacturers are usually quite late in comparison with AMD site and often modify driver to suit particular M, BIOS and any specific features for it.

The only thing they can modify is the INF files, the the actual driver files are closed sourced.

It says: "Manual system restart required on Non-English OS after the installation is complete."

Well, it asks for a restart on English OS also.
It also changed my Turn Display off after "5 mins" to Never. I just changed it back.
Didn't seem to change any other Power Plan settings.

Well, it asks for a restart on English OS also.
It also changed my Turn Display off after "5 mins" to Never. I just changed it back.
Didn't seem to change any other Power Plan settings.

Thanks for the alert. Installation went very smoothly here. Everything working as expected. Passmark performance test showed a small improvement in 2D graphics performance, otherwise everything within normal statistical variation. I'm not sure why 2D performance should have been affected, but it has always been dire on this Ryzen desktop for some reason.

No problems here, also got a bump up on 2d in passmark, which wasn't too bad here and an increase on CPU mark, Ryzen7 3800X.
Power setting was same as I set it at, which was AMD Ryzen High Performance.

I had to manually copy driver files from
C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Packages\IODriver
to
C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Binaries
where the installer wanted them to be to install from..
stupid AMD... :(

had to manually update the "PCI driver" files via Device Manager...
