I had AMD PSP Device driver 5.24.0.0 installed on my PC (Ryzen 5 2600 and B450 Aorus M) and couldn't update to 5.27.0.0, because update always failed. I made the mistake of uninstalling version 5.24.0.0, and now I can't update past 4.11.0.0, which is a very outdated stock driver dating from november 2019. Also, the device name changed from "AMD PSP 2.0 Device" to "AMD PSP 3.0 Device".

Sometimes the update will be succesful, but driver will be corrupted and I see this message on Device Manager: "No drivers are installed for this device" and event viewer clearly shows there's something wrong:

Code:
Device PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1456&SUBSYS_87471043&REV_00\4&2392abc8&0&0239 had a problem starting.
Driver Name: oem14.inf

Problem Status: 0xC00000E5

I tried reverting to 5.24.0.0 and installing older versions, like 5.25.0.0, which is the version included in chipset drivers provided by my motherboard manufacturer, but no luck, it's permanently stuck on 4.11.0.0, because update will either fail or the driver won't be loaded.

@Ghot I already did, that's the one which contains PSP Device driver version 5.27.0.0. I really don't know why driver is not loaded after being installed, as my CPU is supported (2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Desktop Processor). 5.24.0.0 was installed and working before I attempted to update to 5.27.0.0, but now not even 5.24.0.0 is working anymore.

I just installed the chipset drivers on March 18th... and the PSP driver is version 5.27

It's 5.27 indeed, I made a mistake and wrote 5.25 because it's the version provided by Gigabyte. It will install occasionally, but the driver won't be loaded ("Device not started" error).

Did you try going to Programs & Features, and UN-installing the chipset drivers, before you tried to install the latest ones?
Sometimes... that helps.

Yes, multiple times. The PSP driver will usually fail to reinstall after that.

But with an earlier release date than at AMD. (?)
Asus have AMD_Chipset_Software version 6.3.19.217 available now, this is part of the Asus download for X670 boards but is a separate 'generic AMD' file, just like the MSI one
