Well, this is weird. Just had the opposite of what I would expect happen on "incompatible" hardware.
I have a really old HP laptop. Somewhere around a 2010 or 2011 vintage. That machine originally shipped with Windows 7. It ran both Windows 10 and Windows 11 fine, although I had to use the tricks for incompatible hardware to get my clean install of Windows onto that machine.
For both Win 10 and Win 11, the only thing that was not working correctly was the battery charge level status. For some reason it would show a completely nonsensical charge level all the time.
I just performed a clean install of Windows 11 22H2 on that machine, and unlike Windows 10 and Windows 11 original release, the battery level is now working!
So the oddity is that Windows 11 22H2 is actually working BETTER on this machine than was Windows 10.
