It does work in the official Windows 11 26H2 build 25300.9457 ISO. I confirmed it in a virtual machine.

You can open the Readme.md file with Notepad to see instructions and execute the other file (.ps1) which is the actual script.

It might seem stuck but working in the background. I wouldn't touch it. Give it more time.

PS: If you haven't yet stopped it, is there any progress? If it is still stuck at downloading 18% I think it is safe to restart your computer and try again. If it was stuck at installing, I would let it overnight before risking to restart the computer. Before trying again, I would run the script again just in case it was undone.

For some reason, downloading the repair version seems to take significantly longer than downloading the ISO file from the Windows 11 download page.

Open Task Manager and check whether Windows Update is still active. If there's no activity for an extended period, try restarting your computer.

Ms said the future Windows 11 updates would be much smoother and quicker, and look here. It sometimes takes 1 hour or 2- 3 hours, but never completes. Our local electric company cuts the power every 2, 3, or 4 hours, which is the main reason for this. Net speed is decent.

The update speed is fast, provided there are no more than a couple of updates and none of them is a cumulative update. Cumulative updates take much longer because they have to check all affected system files and replace as needed. It's not a simple copy of files.

Also, my Norton VPN was working fine on Windows 11 until 2 days ago; it stopped connecting and kept me offline. device troubleshooter said it has driver problems in Windows 11. Fixed it through the troubleshooter. restarted pc, and the problem was still there. Had to uninstall it. I turned the option in vpn to connect all the time.
