New font

I added a new font. Word and Note access it, but not Paint.

I tried Repair, Reset, and downloaded it again.

Maybe you could give some more details?
- What font is that?
- Is it a TrueType Font (TTF) or some Postscript font?
- From where did you download it? Can I download it too for test?
- What version of Paint do you have the problem with?

Note? Notepad or Notebook?

Please be sure that nobody here is able to see what you have installed on your computer!

Here ya go . . .

Open Paint>In the Tool tab, you see a large A. Click on that.



Next, click on the down arrow, scroll up and down to choose your font:

Thank you. The font (Maroon Bold) does show up in the pull-down, but when I tried to use it - nada.

Maroon Bold!?!?

Oh, now that I think about it, this is for Paint, so Maroon Bold makes a lot of sense. Pardon moi iggerence!

I downloaded the Maroon Bold from here.
Installed it on my testystem (Windows 11 home 23H2).
Did a restart (before that it was not visible in Notepad as well).
Functions in Notepad and in Paint 11.2210.4.0 (that version of Paint is on that system).
In Paint:



Did you restart the computer after installing the font?

I use it for a model railroad logo. It's awesome!

Just a note: there is a new Font coming for Windows called Aptos.

Good morning, @Berton:

For whatever reason, I've had Aptos font for a few weeks; it was installed in my font list without any input from me. Personally, I don't care all that much for it. It looks kinda dated back to the last decade or three.
